Welcome to my Professional Headshot Session!

In today's professional world, not having a headshot is like not having a business card. Your headshot helps build connections with clients and industry professionals, making you memorable. It's your opportunity to show clients and colleagues that you are approachable and professional. A professional headshot session time can last between 15-30 minutes for a single session. For big corporate groups, I try to allow 5 minutes window per individual to move forward as quick as possible!

What to wear for this type of session?

When selecting clothing for corporate portraits, it's important to consider the level of formality required and maintain consistency, especially for group photos. High-contrast combinations, such as a dark jacket paired with a white shirt and bold accessories, work well. Ensure clothing is freshly ironed, and avoid pastels and busy patterns for the best results.

Hair & Makeup Artists

For women, we recommend freshly styled hair, a light make up and for men, a recent haircut and a clean shave.

On-Site Requirements

If I am coming to your office, I will need a medium-sized room. I often use boardrooms and can shoot across the top of a boardroom table if space is tight.

Proofing & Image Selection

During our session, each person will have a chance to choose their own image with me as I am shooting tether and will show you on big screen every images we are shooting. After the shoot, I can also provide low-resolution proof copies of the images so you can select the final ones for retouching if it more convenient for you. Once I receive your selections, it will take a few days to finalize the retouching. I will then return the images per email link, where you will be able to download the digital images.

Retouching professional Headshot

I retouch all professional Headshot to enhance the final image. This often includes whitening the eyes and teeth, removing blemishes, and generally retouching for a polished and professional result.

Studio Capacity

As I operate from a small beautiful home studio, the people capacity is restricted to families under 6 people.

Color Coordination and Preparation

All my family sessions are color coordinated. A brief will be delivered to you via email when booking a session with me (David Pellerin Photography “What to Wear” PDF provided).

Personalized Coaching and Background Choices

When you book a session with me, I will coach you to bring out the best in your personality. You will have a choice of background colors at the studio, including Black, Grey, White, and Brown Mocha.

Professional Retouching and Custom Gallery

I use the latest technology in Lightroom and Photoshop to professionally retouch your photos, ensuring they look their absolute best. You will receive a custom-designed private online gallery showcasing your best high-resolution images.

Special Gifts and Online Store

Some of my packages include a special gift (18x13 Ice Block) with the picture of your choice. The online professional store attached to your gallery makes it easy to order your favorite prints, canvases, framed artwork, and more. The cart is user-friendly, and once you complete the payment, your products will be delivered directly to your doorstep.

MY SESSIONS

When you book a creative shoot with me, expect a relaxed atmosphere for about 4 hours where music sets the vibe and helps you feel completely comfortable. I love music too, so feel free to share your favorite artists!

Now, about pricing: Creative portraits typically range between $750 and $2000, depending on what you’re looking for and your specific needs.

Quick note: I don’t provide raw files. Raw files are the unprocessed data straight from the camera, not ready-to-view images. They require special software (like Photoshop or Lightroom) to decode and edit properly.

What you’ll get from me are between 10 to 20 professionally enhanced and retouched images, following the package you choose. These will be delivered via an online gallery, showcasing your photos beautifully.

If you’re interested in prints, custom products, or digital files, you can easily order them through your online gallery or directly from me.

How do your sessions operate?

1. We discuss your session, agree on terms and book in a date.

2. I email your contract and invoice and you sign and pay your retainer or full session amount. Receive my "What to wear "Guide pdf .

3. Photo session day. Let lose and have fun!

4. Approximately 2 weeks later we will meet up again at my studio for your photo reveal and purchase any of our studio products.

   Or 2 weeks after your session I can deliver per email a link to your online gallery where you can download a small version of your images for free and purchase from our online shopping cart attached to your gallery, prints, canvases and the high resolution digital images of your shoot from the comfort of your own couch.

5. You hear your phone ringing. It’s me telling you your product are ready for pick up.

   Or your door bell rings! It is a post delivery of your online shopping cart purchases.

What is your photographic style?

I love to capture the real thing! In my sessions, I like to get kids to play so I can capture them candidly in their natural environment. There will be some standard family posing, however, I like capturing REAL people. You are beautiful the way you are, be it tall, short, thick or thin. I aim to pose you so you are looking your best in your photos, however, I don’t want to magically alter your appearance.

Can I get the raw images? NO NO NO! I don’t provide raw files. Raw files are the unprocessed data straight from the camera, not ready-to-view images. They require special software (like Photoshop or Lightroom) to decode and edit properly.

Do you edit photos yourself? Yes, I do edit all my photos myself with the help of the best and latest technology available today. Two of the few retouching software that I use are Lightroom and photoshop.

• All images will be professionally color corrected and edited using the highest quality programs.

• Scars, moles and lines are REAL. That means they stay, unless notified prior. Some basic corrections like skin softening is made in line with my style, however, should you wish for additional re-touching it will come at a small fee.

Can I come to the studio now? Unfortunately, you can not turn up to the studio without an appointment. I do run a professional photo studio from my home and do not want strangers or uninvited people nocking at my door, out of respect not only for me but my family. Please make an appointment.

What locations are best for a photo session?

We are so fortunate to have so many amazing locations here in Melbourne. We can meet up at the many parks, beaches and scenic areas, however, I do have a few locations up my sleeve in my studio area, if you are stuck in making a decision. I am open to shoot anywhere but a small travel might apply if we are over a 15km radius of the studio.

Can I see all the images taken on the day?

I aim to provide you with only the BEST images taken on the day. This means all test shots, blinkies, unflattering images and any others which don't meet my criteria are deleted.

What is the best time of day to take photos?

Photography is all about LIGHT. Great light consists of even, soft and flattering light. This means either early morning or late afternoon. Bright sunny conditions don’t lend to good portrait images as they can cause harsh shadows to appear, which can look very unflattering. If circumstances require your session to be held during the midday sun we will need to find a location with suitable shade.

I accept cash, direct deposit.

How long does a Family session last?

My family Portrait session are 1 hour minimum

What should we wear?

The general rule is to wear what you LOVE and feel comfortable with it. But when you book your headshots or family portrait session with me you will be provided with my "What to wear" guide, where you will find all information to look your best for the session.
